SCOTT LAZAR

Hired Gun Advisors was founded by Scott Lazar who brings over two decades of experience in growth, cost cutting and process improvement with both Fortune 100 and entrepreneurial, private equity and venture capital backed companies.

Both as a large company executive and as a successful entrepreneur, Scott Lazar has consistently created new revenue and profits for stakeholders. Lazar formed the consulting firm Hired Gun Advisors in order to create this type of value for other companies.

Following marketing and sales roles of increasing responsibility at Kraft, Nabisco, ConAgra and Kellogg; Scott Lazar began applying his business development skills to creating entirely new businesses.

As Executive Vice President at River West Brands, Scott Lazar reintroduced previously discontinued brands from Nabisco, Gillette and Mead Johnson through new start-ups or by strategic partnerships with companies such as AriZona Beverage, Big Lots, and American Hotel Register.

As founder and CEO of Reserve Brands Inc., Scott Lazar raised millions in venture capital for the national re-launch of the former Anheuser-Busch EAGLE™ Snacks brand. Lazar leveraged strategic relationships to achieve large-company results from just a handle of employees, before the business was successfully acquired.

Scott Lazar later joined Dale & Thomas popcorn as CEO, leading the turnaround of this 150+ person company. Lazar rationalized company divisions, product lines and customers, and then rolled out products nationally to Wal-Mart, delivering the company’s first ever profitable quarter.

Scott Lazar is passionate about growing businesses and is often sought out for his expertise. Lazar has been an expert panelist for the Fortune/ CNN/Money.com’s "Makeover Your Business" series, has been interviewed by the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune, and has authored several articles for Private Label Buyer magazine.

Lazar received an MBA from the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management and is a frequent guest lecturer at Olin Business School at Washington University.
